Urs Gredig

Urs Gredig (born June 3, 1970 in Davos ) is a Swiss journalist and television presenter .

Life

Gredig studied history and journalism and graduated from the University of Freiburg in 2000 . He then worked as a journalist, first as an editor at the online portal sport.ch and from 2001 to 2003 as an information editor, producer and presenter at Radio 24 . From 2003 to 2017 he worked for Swiss Radio and Television (SRF). After working as an editor in the entertainment department, he moved to the Tagesschau editorial team in 2004, where he initially worked as editor and presenter of the “Tagesschau Nacht” and from 2005 to 2007 as presenter of the noon, evening and night editions. From 2007 to the end of April 2013 he moderated the main edition. From October 2013 to spring 2017, he was UK - Correspondent of the SRF, he followed Peter Balzli . After his return to Switzerland, he temporarily moderated the show Club on behalf of the sick Thomy Scherrer .

In September 2017 he left SRF and took up a new position as editor- in- chief at CNN Money Switzerland. In February 2020 Gredig returned to SRF and moderated the weekly talk show “Gredig direkt”. He is also strengthening the moderation team for “ 10vor10 ”. With “Gredig direkt” he replaced the talk show “ Schawinski ” by Roger Schawinski , which was discontinued.

Gredig is married and has two children.
