Urs Pedraita (* 1965 in Zurich ) is a Swiss building owner consultant, construction and project manager, adventurer and two-time long-distance motorcycle world record holder (2014 and 2016).

In the winter of 2013/14 Pedraita was the first person to cross the Siberian taiga on a motorcycle alone without a sidecar . 14,400 km from Bern to Vladivostok in 37 days at daytime temperatures of down to −42 °. In 2014, he circled the world on his motorcycle from Bern in 16 days, 12 hours and 19 minutes over a distance of 24,741 km, breaking the previous record.

On February 19, 2015, he and his team planned to drive a motorcycle and an escort vehicle from Zurich to the North Cape and back in 106 hours . However, this attempt to record failed. After 53 hours shortly after Stockholm and 1,800 km from the North Cape, the first engine failure occurred. After almost 60 hours, Pedraita arrived at the North Cape on February 20, 2015. In order to complete his project, he would have had to travel 3,600 km back to Zurich in 46 hours, so he abandoned the project.

In 2016, Pedraita became the first person to cross all continents on a motorcycle on their longest axis by land. With a driving time of 72 days and 12 hours, he covered the land distance of 78,889 km, setting a new world record. Equipped with two GPS transponders / trackers, one attached to the motorcycle and the other fixed to his body, he was observed by over five million people worldwide and followed on the Internet. For the water crossings he always chose the plane. He covered the entire journey, including the flight / transport logistics, in 119 days and 6 hours and around 121,600 km. It started on March 11, 2016 in Daytona Beach and ended there on July 10, 2016.

He crossed every continent several times on his motorcycle.

Pedraita he is involved in planning the women's long-distance motorcycle world record race . He also gives lectures.
