The Malaysian Embassy in East Timor is located on Avenida de Portugal , Pantai Kelapa (Praia dos Coqueiros), Comoro , Dili .

Even before East Timor became independent , Malaysia had on April 13th. October 2001 a liaison office was opened in East Timor's capital Dili. It was initially located in room 354 of the Central Maritime Hotel . On October 8, 2001, they moved to Avenida Almirante Americo Thomas , close to the city center. Today the embassy is in the west of the city, right on the coastal road to the Strait of Wetar .

With East Timor's Independence Day on May 20, 2002, the Liaison Office officially became an embassy, ​​making Malaysia the first ASEAN country to open an embassy in East Timor.
