Tajul Aman Mohammed

Tajul Aman Mohammed is a diplomat from Malaysia . He is currently the ambassador of his home country to Romania , which means that he is also responsible for Bulgaria , Greece and the Republic of Moldova . He used to be a cop.

Career

Mohammed was a police officer for 13 years. Since his career opportunities with the Royal Malaysian Police seemed too slim for him, he switched to the administrative and diplomatic service with the aim of becoming a district officer. Instead, he became Assistant Secretary in the Foreign Service and a consultant in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Europe Department. His first diplomatic post from 1995 was that of the second secretary in the Malaysian Embassy in London . Later, Mohammed first secretary of the Embassy of Malaysia in was Harare ( Zimbabwe ). The embassy there is also accredited for the neighboring countries of Malawi , Zambia , Tanzania , Uganda , Kenya , Seychelles , Mauritius and Comoros . Mohammed then became consul general in Jeddah ( Saudi Arabia ). Here he helped identify Malaysian victims of the Mena panic in 2006.

From 2013 Mohammed was ambassador to East Timor. In December 2015, he was appointed Ambassador of Malaysia to Romania.
