Urs Richle

Urs Richle (born June 24, 1965 in Wattwil , SG ) is a Swiss writer.

Life

After an attempt as a radio and television electronics technician, Urs Richle switched to the Wattwil teacher training college. After teaching at Gais AR for a year , he moved to Berlin from September 1989 to 1992 to study sociology and philosophy. The publication of the first novels by Gatza-Verlag as well as several author grants and literary prizes prompted him to drop out of studies. Urs Richle has lived as a freelance writer in Geneva since 1993 . He is married and has three children.

In 1996/97 he completed the one-year script workshop course at the University of Television and Film in Munich . Since none of the scripts sold were made into films, he began to deal with video and multimedia.

In 2006 he obtained the technical college diploma Ingénieur HES en Ingénierie des médias, orientation IT at the Ecole d'ingénieur COMEM + in Lausanne . Diploma thesis: WikiViz - Visualization of a semantic network for TECFA, University of Geneva .

Urs Richle has been working as an engineer at the University of Geneva since May 2006 as part of the research project DualT - Leading House: Technologies for Vocational Training and continues to work as a freelance author.
