Ursula Creutz

Ursula Creutz (born June 20, 1909 in Berlin ; † May 25, 2006 there ) was a German German philologist and monastery historian.

history

Ursula Creutz studied German , history and geography in Berlin since 1929, then in Innsbruck . In 1933 she received her doctorate there. phil. In 1935 Ursula Creutz passed the state examination and in 1937 became a study assistant and librarian in the Reich Association for Catholic Germans Abroad. In 1946 she became a research assistant in the Church Relief Agency for special pastoral tasks.

Since 1950 Ursula Creutz was a research assistant at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR in East Berlin, since 1963 head of work.

She retired in 1969 and moved to West Berlin in 1972. Ursula Creutz is buried in the Old St. Michael Cemetery in Berlin-Neukölln.

Publications (selection)

Ursula Creutz published two overviews of former monasteries in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, as well as other writings. She was involved in the publication of the Goethe dictionary.
