Ursula Distelhut (born May 22, 1947 in Mainz ; † January 9, 1995 there ) was a German SPD politician .

Ursula Distelhut was the daughter of the Mainz SPD local politician Paul Distelhut . She attended elementary school and business school and was then employed by Sparkasse Mainz , most recently as deputy branch manager.

She has been involved in politics since she was 18. In 1974 she became a new member of the SPD's local advisory group in Mombach , along with Jens Beutel, who later became mayor of Mainz. In 1979 she moved into the Mainz city ​​council, from 1983 she was mayor of the Mainz-Mombach district . In May 1991 she was elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament. In the state parliament she was a member of the budget and finance committee and the audit commission. From November 1991 until her untimely death in January 1995, she was also the chairwoman of the SPD city council group, making her the first woman in such a position in Mainz.

She was a member of the supervisory board of the Mainzer Aufbaugesellschaft and Wohnbau Mainz , in the ÖTV , in the Mainz advice center " pro familia " and in many associations.

The AWO-Altenzentrum at the old Kerbeplatz in Mainz-Mombach was named in honor of her Ursel-Distelhut-Haus.
