Ursula Graefe
Ursula Gräfe (* 1956 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German author and literary translator.
Ursula Gräfe studied Japanese , English and American studies at the University of Frankfurt . Since 1988 she has been working full-time as a translator of literary works, mainly from Japanese as well as from English and American.
Ursula Gräfe is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ. She lives in Frankfurt am Main.

Prizes and awards
In 2004, Ursula Gräfe and Kimiko Nakayama-Ziegler received the Japan Foundation's translation prize for the volume of short stories »Swimming Pool in the Rain« by the author Yōko Ogawa .
In 2019 Ursula Gräfe received the Noma Award for Translation of Japanese Literature 2019 together with Nora Bierich.
