Ursula Heidtmann

Ursula "Utti" Heidtmann (born June 24, 1917 in Hamburg ; † August 3, 2015 ) was a German tennis player .

At the age of ten she started playing tennis at Klipper THC in Hamburg. In 1934 she moved to TC Blau-Weiss Berlin . In 1935 she became German junior champion. In 1939 she returned to Klipper. During these years she worked as a shorthand typist . With her long-time double partner Thilde Dietz she won the International Tennis Championships in Germany in 1948 . In the two following years, the two reached the final. In 1950 she was there in the individual final against Dorothy Head . In 1957 she took part in this tournament for the last time. Most recently she lived in a retirement home in Ratzeburg .
