Ursula Heukenkamp

Ursula Heukenkamp (* 1938 in Berlin ; † 2017 ) was a German literary scholar and former university professor .

Life

Ursula Heukenkamp completed her studies in German and Romance languages at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 1961 with a diploma. In 1969 she received her doctorate with a thesis on German early romanticism . In 1980 the habilitation followed with a thesis on German nature poetry . In 1984 Heukenkamp became a professor for GDR literature at the Humboldt University , and in 1993 for German literature of the 20th century. In 2003 she retired.
