The Urtier is a river in the Aosta Valley in Italy . Together with the Valnontey , it forms the Grand Eyvia , which flows into the Dora Baltea .

The Urtier rises on the Cima di Peradza (2978 m) in the Gran Paradiso National Park . Then it flows through Lillaz in the area of ​​the municipality of Cogne . There is also the Les Salasses campsite by the river . Then it flows past the districts of Champlong , Molina and Cogne itself. A little later at Crétaz it flows together with the Valnontey and forms the Grand Eyvia.
