Usama Faris

Usama Faris (born September 25, 1984 in Berlin ) is a former German football player .

career

The 1.80 meter tall Faris initially played basketball . He wore the colors of the MTSV Hohenwestedt, the Kieler TB, the BG Suchsdorf-Kronshagen and the TS Einfeld (partly during his football career).

In 2006 he attended a game by the Hamburg Sea Devils  and in this way came into contact with football. In the same year he started with Kiel Baltic Hurricanes in the second division with football and in his first year made promotion to the GFL , the nationwide top division, with the team . In 2008 and 2009 Faris was German runner-up with Kiel, followed by winning the championship title in 2010, both under coach Kent Anderson . He played in Kiel until the end of the 2012 season. In 2015 Faris, used as a wide receiver , joined the Berlin Rebels (also GFL).

In basketball he strengthened TSV Kronshagen in the 2nd regional league in 2019/20.
