Usamedin Mehmed

Usamedin Mehmed (born August 7, 1960 in Skopje , Macedonia , Yugoslavia ) is a Macedonian basketball coach . Most recently he was assistant coach at LTi Gießen 46ers in the basketball league from August 2010 to May 2013 .

Career

He started his career at KK Sloga Skopje as a youth coach . In 1983 he became assistant coach for the women and in 1985 head coach.

In 1991 he moved to Frankfurt in Germany and became a youth coach and head coach for the women from Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2nd Bundesliga . From 1993 to 1996 he was the trainer of MTV Giessen . From 1997-99 he was coach of the men's BG Koblenz in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 1999 he moved to SV Oberelchingen and was head coach there until 2001. From January 2003 he was a youth coach at SSV Ulm 1846 . In August 2003 he became head coach for the ladies of the DJK SB Ulm . He rose with the women from the upper league to the 2nd basketball league.

In 2006 he moved to the first division for the Eisvögeln Freiburg and immediately reached the semi-finals of the German championship. For family reasons, Usamedin returned to Swabia and was again a trainer for the women of the DJK Ulm from 2007 to 2010.
