Uschomyr ( Ukrainian Ушомир ; Russian Ушомир Uschomir , Polish Uszomierz ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Zhytomyr with around 1300 inhabitants (2004).
Ushomyr is located in Korosten district on the bank of the Ush , a right tributary of the Pripyat . The district center of Korosten is 18 km northeast and the Oblast center Zhytomyr 84 km south of the village. There is an animal park in the village.
The village, first mentioned in 1683, is the center of the 9.61 km² district council of the same name with almost 3000 inhabitants, to which the villages:
