Uson is a municipality in the Philippines in the Masbate Province , in the administrative region of V, Bicol. It has 56,168 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 35 barangays . Located on Masbate Island , it is classified as a third income class community in the Philippines. The community center is located approx. 28 km southeast of the provincial capital Masbate City . Their neighboring communities are Mobo in the northwest, Milagros and Cawayan in the southwest and Dimasalang in the southeast. The municipality's long coastline lies on the Samar Sea .
