Uta Georgi (born September 21, 1970 in Halle an der Saale ) is a German journalist , television and radio presenter .

Life

Uta Georgi studied journalism and political science at the University of Leipzig with a degree in journalism. From 1992 she worked as a presenter and editor for several radio and television editorial offices of the MDR .

From July 2000 to March 2007 she worked as a presenter and editor for the news channel n-tv in Berlin and Cologne, where she moderated the daily live tracks and special programs, including the “Tafel der Demokratie” from the Brandenburg Gate for the inauguration of the Federal President Horst Koehler. He also moderated the IT magazine “Tiscali-NetNews” and the travel magazine “Traumreisen”. In April 2007 she switched back to MDR television, where she is the political talk fact ...! moderated as well as the news magazine Sachsenspiegel and Sachsenspiegel-Extra. In addition to her work as a presenter, Uta Georgi worked as a reporter on MDR television.

In 2013 Uta Georgi took over the position of Komsa company spokeswoman . In 2015, she switched to the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Enterprises as press spokesperson, where she was responsible for media and public relations work for the State Association of Saxony. In 2020 she returned to Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk and works here as a presenter and editor for the news radio MDR-Aktuell .

Uta Georgi is the mother of one son.
