Uwe Hauck

Uwe Hauck (born November 19, 1967 in Heilbronn / Sontheim ) is a German author and speaker .

Life

From 1990 to 1995, Hauck studied Computational Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Osnabrück . He completed his studies with a Magister Artium and then worked as a software developer for several IT companies.

2015 Hauck got after a suicide attempt with admission to the locked ward of the hospital at the Weissenhof the diagnoses severe, recurrent depression , generalized anxiety disorder and specific phobia. While he was still in psychiatric facilities, Hauck began to tweet his experiences under the hashtag #ausderklapse . Various media picked up the action and reported on it.

In April 2018, Hauck and Kristina Wilms started a petition against the Bavarian Mental Health Assistance Act (BayPsychKHG), which was able to collect over 90,000 signatures within a week and which has made a significant contribution to significant changes in the legal text. In December 2018 he published an article on the planned Appointments Service and Supply Act (TSVG) as a columnist at Focus Online and also commented on it in a TV interview in the ARD morning magazine .

On November 27, 2018, the German Depression Aid Foundation, together with Sibylle and Uwe Hauck, presented the Germany Barometer Depression with a focus on relatives.

Hauck is active as a keynote speaker , speaker and lecturer in the context of mental illnesses and their destigmatization in German-speaking countries . In November 2019 Uwe Hauck became a member of the board of the German Depression League eV as an assessor

Today Uwe Hauck lives with his wife Sibylle and three children in Schwäbisch Hall .
