Uwe Hochfeld

Uwe Hochfeld (* 13. April 1965 ) is a former German cyclist and East German champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Hochfeld started for the SC Turbine Erfurt . In 1983 he won the international youth friendship competition in the team pursuit with the GDR team . His team defeated u. a. the choice of the USSR . With Eike Backhaus he won the title in two-man team driving at the GDR youth championships and won two more medals. In 1985 Hochfeld was GDR champion in the team pursuit with Eike Backhaus, Michael Stück and Jörg Windorf. In the team pursuit, he was also runner-up in 1984 and 1986. He started several times in the GDR tour, his best result was in 1984 place 62. In January 1987 he and his partner Uwe Preißler won the six-day amateurs' race in the Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle in Berlin .
