Uwe Jens Nagel

Uwe Jens Nagel (born October 5, 1943 in Dietfurt ) is a German sociologist and agronomist .

After studying sociology at the Free University of Berlin and Stanford University and completing a postgraduate course in rural development at the Technical University of Berlin , Uwe Jens Nagel worked as a research assistant at the Technical University of Berlin from 1972 to 1993 . In 1979 he received his doctorate there , from 1983 to 1987 he worked for the German Society for Technical Cooperation in Benin . In 1993 he was appointed to the professorship for agricultural advice and communication studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin , where he was dean of studies from 1996 to 2002, then dean until 2006 . In 2006, Uwe Jens Nagel was entrusted with the duties of Vice President for Studies and International Affairs at Humboldt University, and in 2008 he was elected Vice President. He held the office until March 31, 2011.
