Uwe Prieser (* 1945 in Bremen ) is a German sports journalist and author .

biography

Uwe Prieser attended the Parsevalstrasse high school in Bremen . He started his journalistic work as an editor at Weser-Kurier . He has u. a. written for Die Welt , FAZ , and Die Zeit .

For his work " Swetlana Boginskaja " in the FAZ magazine he was awarded the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize in 1993.

From his report on the Belarusian gymnast Boginskaja, quoted after a work on gender-specific writing in journalism:

"Prieser's portrait is a hymn of praise to the woman and athlete [...]:" Aesthetics and grace are in conflict with that acrobatic bravery that, according to the laws of physics, is only possible for lightweight children. "Svetlana Boginskaja is the star. As Prieser puts it dramatically, she is “the Boginskaya” who “moved on the verge of falling with a grace in which this danger crystallized and became part of beauty.
