Uwe Schwenke de Wall

Uwe Schwenke de Wall (born November 13, 1939 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1974 to 1986 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Live and act

Schwenke de Wall is the son of the dentist Herbert Schwenke de Wall and Käte, b. van Mark. His father had been missing since January 1945 and was pronounced dead in 1954 . Schwenke de Wall grew up with three siblings in Wilhelmshaven and attended secondary school until 1958 . He then completed a two-year apprenticeship as a road builder with distinction and the associated shortening of the apprenticeship period. This was followed by internships in reinforced concrete construction and, from 1960 to 1964, studies at the engineering school for civil engineering in Aachen . During this time he also acted as semester spokesman and AStA chairman. From 1964 to March 1966 he was site manager at the Wilhelmshaven construction company B. Janßen.

On April 1, 1966, Schwenke de Wall took up a position as operations manager of the road construction company Wölky KG in the Goslar district, which he took over in 1980. In 1984 he acquired the Gosla-based construction company August Bertram GmbH & Co. KG . In 1990 he and a partner founded another construction company in Saxony-Anhalt , Harzer Hoch- und Tiefbau GmbH . In 1994 the company Recycling-Park Wernigerode was added , initially as a sole proprietorship, as a start-up in Saxony-Anhalt. In 2002 Schwenke de Wall handed over all of his company shares to his children.

He lives in Goslar. Two children each come from two marriages.

Political career

Schwenke de Wall joined the CDU and Junge Union , district association Wilhelmshaven, in April 1964 . From the autumn of 1968 he was a council member, first alderman and deputy mayor of the municipality of Bredelem . From 1970 to 1974 he was chairman of the Junge Union in the Goslar district, from 1972 to 1986 CDU chairman of the Goslar city association and at the same time a member of the Goslar City Council.

From 1974 to 1986 he was a directly elected member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament ( MdL ). In 1976 he became chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the city council and candidate for mayor of the CDU. From October to December 1972 and from 1996 to 2016 he was a member of the district council of the Goslar district and from 2011 to 2016 a member of the council of the city of Goslar.
