Uwe Semrau is a German sports commentator .

Life

Semrau is a freelance journalist. He is known to a wide audience as a commentator on Sport1 and Eurosport for handball . During the men's handball world championship in 2017 , he commented on the games via a live stream on the Internet. Since 2016 he has also been commenting for DAZN .

On April 4, 2017, the Sport1 sports program DKB Handballbundesliga (Semrau acted as sports commentator) was awarded the German Sports Journalist Award 2017 as the best sports program.
