Václav Rusek

Václav Rusek (born February 25, 1928 in Komárov u Opavy , † January 30, 2016 in Brno ) was a Czech pharmacy historian.

Life

He worked at the pharmaceutical faculties at the universities of Brno, Pressburg and Königgrätz. In 1987 he completed his habilitation at the Charles University in Prague as a lecturer in the field of organization and management of pharmacy .

In 1972 he founded the Pharmaceutical Museum ( České farmaceutické muzeum ) in Kuks .

Outside of his field of expertise, Václav Rusek is also known as a connoisseur of Czech graphics and bookplates .
