The Vásquez Rock ( English ; Spanish Islote Vásquez ) is a large cliff rock in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is north-northeast of Canales Island in front of Ferrer Point in the southeast of Discovery Bay on Greenwich Island .

Scientists of the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) carried out measurements and named him. It is named after Rafael Vásquez, who belonged to the contingent of the Fuerza Aérea de Chile on this research trip. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2005 in an adapted form.
