Väddö
Väddö is a Swedish island and parish of the same name or administrative unit in the province of Stockholm County in the municipality of Norrtälje . On her lies z. B. in the south the holiday area Barnens Ö, which has become better known through the TV series and family saga blood ties .
Geography and infrastructure
Väddö covers the area of an island off the Swedish mainland approximately at the level of Uppsala in the Åland Sea in the Baltic Sea ( see also archipelago ). There are two road or bridge connections to the mainland: one roughly in the middle of the island near Älmsta , the other further north between the AB 1109 on the mainland and the road 283 on the island. The Väddö Canal near Älmsta cuts through the former mainland connection. From the ferry port in the municipality of Grisslehamn at the north end of Väddös, ferries operated by the shipping company Eckerö operate to Eckerö on the Finnish island of Åland.
