Gernot Holcmann (born July 9, 1981 ) is an Austrian football player on the position of a striker. He is known for his time at the Vienna Sports Club , where he rose with them from the Vienna City League via the Regionalliga Ost to the First Division . Holcmann is currently under contract with SV Sieghartskirchen as a player and coach of the reserves.

Career

player

Holcmann began his career in the youth of the Vienna Sports Club , where he began at the age of seven. He went through all the youth stations of the club and made his debut on September 21, 1997 for the team against SV Neuberg in the Regionalliga Ost , where he replaced Dragan Puselja in the 83rd minute . In the season he came to another use against ASKÖ Klingenbach , where he again replaced Puselja. At the end of the season the Vienna Sports Club had to relegate, and so Holcmann found himself in the Vienna City League in the following season (1998/99) . In the second season in the city league (1999/2000) Holcmann was able to convince, and so he was often used from the beginning, where he scored his first goal for the sports club against KSV Ankerbrot . In the next season (2000/01) Holcmann was set again, and so he was able to help the sports club to rise to the Regionalliga Ost with seven goals . One negative point this season (2001/02), however, was a red card after twelve minutes when he fouled an attacking striker from SPC Helfort in the penalty area. Ernst Ogris converted the resulting penalty.

The time in the Regionalliga Ost did not last long, because at the end of the season the sports club was able to qualify for relegation to the First Division . There you met the last of the First Division, FC Lustenau . Holcmann played through in both games but couldn't score any goals. In the second leg Lustenau defeated the sports club 4-0 (the first leg ended 0-0 in Vienna ). As a result, the promotion would have failed for the sports club, but since the second division FC Tirol Innsbruck has filed for bankruptcy, the sports club was still allowed to advance .

In his first season in the First Division he was used in up to five matches each time, of which he played 13 times. However, he could only score once, this was against the eventual champions SV Mattersburg on March 7, 2003 in the 80th minute. The performances were manageable and so he had to relegate as the last after his only season in the First Division.

During his last season at the Wiener Sportklub, not much was bet on Holcmann, who still scored two goals. At the end of the 2004 season he switched to the lower class of the Lower Austrian club SV Sieghartskirchen . He stayed there for three whole years, then he was able to switch to SV Langenrohr in the Lower Austria regional league . In one year he was able to score seven goals in 24 games. Nevertheless, he was drawn to league competitor SV Stockerau , where he was not seeded and only came to seven missions and one goal. He then moved to Kamp for SV Haitzendorf for six months , then to the Danube to USC Altenwörth . After three years he went upstream to SC Hadersdorf , where he stayed for two years. Further stations were USC Kirchberg / Wagram , USC Altenwörth and SV Sieghartskirchen , where he had been a player and coach of a youth team since the beginning of January 2017. Towards the end of the 2017/18 season, he took over the position of coach of the combat team.
