Väinö Eerikki Raitio (born April 15, 1891 in Sortavala , Grand Duchy of Finland , † September 10, 1945 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish composer.

Raitio studied at the Helsinki Music Institute (now the Sibelius Academy) with Erkki Melartin and Erik Furuhjelm and completed postgraduate studies at the Moscow Conservatory from 1916–17 . He completed his training in Berlin (1921) and in Paris (1925-26), where he got to know the music of Alexander Scriabin and Claude Debussy .

From 1926 to 1932 he was a composition teacher in Viipuri , after which he lived in Helsinki. In addition to several symphonic poems, Raitio u. a. Operas and ballets, chamber music and numerous choral works and songs.
