Víctor Rubén López (born December 19, 1978 in Córdoba ) is an Argentine football player who plays at Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba in the Argentine Primera B Nacional .

Player career

Víctor López started his career as a footballer in his Argentinian homeland at the lower class club Racing de Córdoba . He left this in 2000 and moved to the first division club CA Talleres . There he was a fixture in the defense in the following seasons, but even he could not prevent the relegation of his team in 2004. He then went to league rivals Arsenal de Sarandí , where he played the following two years. He was able to assert himself there too, which attracted the interest of European clubs. In January 2007, he finally signed a contract with relegation-threatened Spanish first division club Real Sociedad San Sebastián . He made his debut in a 1-0 draw against Valencia CF on January 21, 2007. Again Víctor López suffered relegation, but this time he followed his team in League 2. There he scored his first competitive goal for the Basques. On November 11, 2007 he met the 1-1 lead in the relegated duel against Celta Vigo for the interim lead. In 2008 he moved back to CA Banfield, his home in Argentina .
