Věra Pospíšilová-Cechlová ( listen ? / I ; born November 19, 1978 in Litoměřice ) is a former Czech discus thrower . Audio file / audio sample

At the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton she was sixth and fourth at the 2002 European Championships in Munich. A fifth place at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis was followed by the bronze medal awarded at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki she won the bronze medal behind Franka Dietzsch and Natalja Sadowa .

At the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 she was seventh, at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka she was eliminated in qualification.

Věra Pospíšilová-Cechlová had a competition weight of 78 kg with a height of 1.78 m. She has been married to the Czech wrestler Jakub Cechl since October 17, 2003 .
