The VDG Weimar ( publishing house and database for the humanities) is a publishing house that was founded in Alfter near Bonn in 1992 and specializes in literature in the humanities and has been based in Weimar since 1994 and in Kromsdorf since 2002 . The publisher and owner is Bettina Preiß . Most of the program consists of research literature with an emphasis on the history of art and architecture. In addition to the classic book production, the storage of the title in a full text database and the distribution of the content as a PDF download are part of the offer. The art history portal has been attached to the publishing house since 2000 . This online magazine, with its content focused on art and art history , is editorially supported. VDG Verlag is a member of the working group of small independent publishers (AKV).
