history
The VR-Bank Neckar-Enz eG originated from five independent banks - the Besigheim commercial bank (founded in 1869), the Bönnigheim commercial bank (founded in 1874), the Sachsenheim savings and loan association (founded in 1881) and the Erligheim loan association ( founded 1896) and Gemmrigheim (founded 1902). Mergers:
- 1972: The Sachsenheimer Bank merged with the Kleinsachsenheimer Bank, the savings and loan fund Ochsenbach and the loan fund Häfnerhaslach .
- 1990: Volksbank Besigheim merged with Volksbank Bönnigheim to form Volksbank Besigheim-Bönnigheim eG with its headquarters in Bönnigheim. This year, Sachsenheimer Bank and Hohenhaslacher Bank also merged.
- 1999: Sachsenheimer Bank and Gemmrigheimer Bank decided to merge with Volksbank Besigheim-Bönnigheim.
- 2005: the Erligheimer Bank joined. In the same year, when Volksbank Besigheim-Bönnigheim eG was renamed, it became VR-Bank Stromberg-Neckar eG.
- 2014: The merger with Enztalbank eG and Volksbank Freiberg und Umgebung eG took place to form VR-Bank Neckar-Enz eG.
- 2016: VR-Bank Neckar-Enz eG merged with Raiffeisenbank Kirchheim-Walheim eG, Löchgauer Bank eG and Raiffeisenbank Ingersheim eG.
