The VR Bank Bayreuth-Hof eG is a German cooperative bank based in Bayreuth in the district of Upper Franconia ( Bavaria ). The bank has two main offices in Hof (Saale) and Bayreuth.
history
The roots of the former VR Bank Hof eG go back to 1893: 25 citizens found the Loan Association in Trogen. In the years that followed, many more cooperatives were created, which later merged into larger units. In 1977 the headquarters were relocated to Hof as Raiffeisenbank. After the fall of the "Iron Curtain", the Plauen and Oelsnitz branches were added in 1991.
In 2006, the two Hof cooperative banks merged to form VR Bank Hof eG. In 2010 the bank merged with Raiffeisenbank Töpen eG, and in 2017 the Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Bayreuth eG , founded in 1893, was merged with VR Bank Hof eG. In 2020, Raiffeisenbank Emtmannsberg eG, based in Emtmannsberg, merged with VR Bank Bayreuth-Hof.
