Since 2002, the administration of the cooperative bank has been centrally located in the Volksbankhaus at the Augustaanlage in Mannheim. VR Bank Rhein-Neckar has branches in Mannheim, Ludwigshafen , in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis and in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis .
history
Volksbank-Rhein-Neckar was created in 1998 through the merger of Volksbanks Mannheim and Rhein-Neckar-Mitte and Raiffeisenbank Heddesheim . The Volksbank Rhein-Neckar-Mitte was founded in 1994 from the Volksbanken Seckenheim and Edingen-Neckarhausen . The 125th anniversary in 2006 went back to the establishment of the “Ländlichen Creditverein” in Seckenheim as one of the predecessor institutes in 1881. At that time the bank was one of the largest cooperative banks in Baden with a balance sheet total of 2 billion euros and around 450 employees with around 100,000 customers and over 50,000 members.
In May 2007 Volksbank Rhein-Neckar merged with VR Bank Ludwigshafen to form VR Bank Rhein-Neckar, based in Mannheim.
