history
VR Bank Südpfalz has its origins in the cooperative idea. Its roots go back to 1865. After many mergers, VR Bank Südpfalz eG was created in 1995 through the merger of the Südpfälzer Volks- und Raiffeisenbank eG Landau and the Raiffeisenbank Südpfalz eG Rülzheim . Other cooperative banks in southern Palatinate joined VR Bank Südpfalz : in 1996 the Raiffeisenbank Weingarten and in 1999 the Raiffeisenbank Unteres Queichtal and Freckenfeld . From 2000 the business area of VR Bank Südpfalz expanded northwards. Beginning with Raiffeisenbank Neustadt / Süd eG, the merger with Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG Edenkoben - Maikammer followed in 2002 and the merger with Raiffeisenbank Oberhaardt-Gäu eG in 2008.
