The VW EA113 (EA = development contract) or the modular gasoline engine kit is a gasoline engine series from Volkswagen AG with four cylinders. The engine generation has been used in various vehicles of the Volkswagen Group since 2004. The engine was installed in the models of the GTI series in the Golf V , as well as in various Audi models, including the Audi A3 , A4 , A6 and the Audi S3 . The camshaft is driven by a toothed belt .
