The Vaika Islands are an uninhabited group of islands located 4.3 kilometers from the largest Estonian island Saaremaa . It is located entirely in the Saaremaa rural community in the Saare district . The archipelago, which is also part of the Vilsandi National Park, consists of the islands of Alumine Vaika , Karirahu , Keskmine Vaika , Kullipank , Mustpank and Ülemine Vaika , which together cover an area of about five hectares and are up to three meters high.
The islands were described in the book Islands of Estonia and the first protected area was established on them.
