Vaiva Radasta Vėbraitė

Vaiva Radasta Vėbraitė-Vėbra (born August 24, 1954 in USA; † December 13, 2008 ) was a Lithuanian politician, Vice Minister .

Life

Vaiva Vėbraitė is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters Degree in Biology from Yale University . She then taught Lithuanian history at Sacred Heart University . Vaiva Vėbraitė established the "Atgimimas" lituanist school in Connecticut and directed it as a director and taught as a teacher. From 1997 Vaiva Vėbraitė headed a center of the Ministry of Education in Lithuania . From 1998 to 2001 she was Deputy Minister of Education. From 2004 she was a consultant to Valdas Adamkus .

Vaiva was married to James Gust and had a daughter and three sons.

Vėbraitė's grave is in Vilnius , in the Antakalnis cemetery .
