Valérie Tasso (born January 23, 1969 in Champagne-Ardenne , France ) is a French-Spanish author , sex researcher and former prostitute .

Life

Valérie Tasso studied Economics and Modern Languages ​​at the University of Strasbourg , where she also received a Master of Business Administration . She also graduated from the Universidad de Alcalá in Madrid with a degree in sex sciences in 2006 . The latter study followed on from her experience as a prostitute for six months from 1999 to 2000 because of high debts. She wrote down her experiences in the autobiographical novel Diario de una ninfómana published in 2003 , which was published in 2005 as a diary of a nymphomaniac by Ullstein Verlag . It was later translated into 15 languages ​​and sold over half a million copies by 2008. At the end of 2008, the film of the same name was released in Spain with Belén Fabra in the lead role.

Since then she has written six more books on sexuality, two of which, Paris at Night and Dimensions of Lust, have so far been published in German. For the latter work, she researched the subject of BDSM , including spending a long time with Czech dominatrixes in Prague . She also gives lectures and takes part in scientific symposia.

She has lived in Barcelona since 1992 and has been in a relationship with the painter and philosopher Jorge de los Santos since 2009. She writes her books exclusively in Spanish.
