Valdas Trakys (born March 20, 1979 in Kretinga ) was a Lithuanian football player . He currently plays for Hibernian Edinburgh in the Scottish Premier League . He was a multiple Lithuanian national player .

Career

Trakys began his career in 1995 for FK Panerys Vilnius , from 1997 to 1999 he played for FK Žalgiris Kaunas . In 2000 he moved to Russia to Torpedo Moscow , two years later Trakys moved again, this time to the Icelandic club FH Hafnarfjörður . In the second half of the year he played in Italy for AC Perugia before playing in the 2nd Bundesliga for SpVgg Greuther Fürth and VfL Osnabrück in the 2003/04 season . FK Kuban Krasnodar was his next stop in the second half of 2004. In 2005 he went back to Lithuania to Atlantas Klaipėda , played for FC Orel in Russia from July until the end of the year and then moved back to Atlantas Klaipėda for half a year. From July 2007 he played for a year in Azerbaijan for İnter Baku before returning to Lithuania to join Ekranas Panevėžys , with whom he spent a total of two years.

1999 Trakys became Lithuanian champions with FK Žalgiris Kaunas. He won this title again in 2009 with Ekranas Panevėžys. He was also the top scorer of the A Lyga that year .
