Valencians
Valencians are called the inhabitants of the autonomous region of Valencia ( Comunitat Valenciana ) on the east coast of Spain . Most of this region is covered by the coastal landscape of Valencia, traditionally known as the Valencian Land ( País Valencià ). Historically, “Valencians” can also refer to the inhabitants of the former Kingdom of Valencia (1237–1707) ( Reino de Valencia ). The citizens of the city of Valencia and the inhabitants of the province of Valencia can also be called "Valencians".

With around 5 million inhabitants, the inhabitants of the Valencia region make up almost 11 percent of the Spanish population. In addition to Spanish, many Valencians speak Valencian , a variety of Catalan, which has been recognized as the official regional language since the early 1980s . The Valencian-speakers live mainly in the coastal landscape and tend to be in rural areas, while pure Spanish-speakers are more and more resident in the big cities and in the mountains in the west of the country. The Valencians are considered cheerful, fun-loving and cheerful.
Traditions
One of the best-known traditions of Valencian folklore is the Fallas Festival , which is celebrated in Valencia every March and is accompanied by spectacular fireworks . The Valencians are therefore considered "masters of pyrotechnics " in Spain , numerous large pyrotechnic events in Europe and Latin America are looked after by Valencian pyrotechnicians .
