Valentin Bernard Jestřábský
Valentin Bernard Jestřábský (* 1630 in Ostrava , † 26. December 1719 in Veverská Bítýška ) was a Roman Catholic priest and Baroque - writer .
Life
Jestřábský was pastor in Veverská Bítýška for fifty-three years. This is also where he wrote most of his books. He wrote in Latin and Czech . He wrote two sermon books in Latin, and his Czech publications were intended for the people. He wrote many of his volumes anonymously and then distributed them among the people.
Works
In his works he devoted himself primarily to homiletics and pedagogy .
