Valentina Giovagnini (born April 6, 1980 in Pozzo della Chiana , † January 2, 2009 in Siena ) was an Italian pop singer.

Career

Giovagnini learned singing and piano at an early age and attended a music high school. She later immersed herself in Celtic and medieval music. In collaboration with producer Davide Pinelli, she finally tried to gain a foothold in the Italian music scene. She made her debut in front of a large audience in the newcomer category of the Sanremo Festival in 2002 with the song Il passo silenzioso della neve , where she finally took second place behind Anna Tatangelo . She then released her first album Creatura nuda , followed by the single Non piango più in 2003 .

After these initial successes, she withdrew from the public for the time being and worked as a singing teacher. In November 2008 she announced her return with a new album, but in early 2009 she died in a car accident at the age of 28. The announced album was released posthumously under the title L'amore non ha fine .
