Valentinas Normantas

Valentinas Normantas (* 1941 ) is a Lithuanian chess player and trainer.

Life

Normantas worked as a chess trainer at the Vilnius Chess and Checkers Sports School . For a time he was also the school principal. One of his students was the future Grand Master Vidmantas Mališauskas (* 1963). In 1991 he became international correspondence chess master. Since 1995 he has held the title of International Correspondence Chess Grandmaster.

Normantas won the 34th European Correspondence Chess Championship (1987-1994).
