history
The company was founded in 1998 under the name Valorec AG as a joint venture between the Swiss pharmaceutical group Novartis and the French group Vivendi. The areas of energy supply, recycling, solvent center and waste disposal from Novartis were combined in Valorec. In the course of concentrating on its core business, Novartis outsourced these areas to the French Veolia Environnement at the beginning of 2001, where they were merged into Valorec Services AG . In addition to various Novartis plants, Valorec Services has provided services for industry, the public sector, administrations and the healthcare sector.
On April 1st, 2020 Valorec Services AG changed the company name to Veolia Industry Building - Switzerland AG. The name change to Veolia Industry Building - Switzerland AG is accompanied by a diversification of services and the opening up of new industries in Switzerland. The company is adding services from the Veolia Group portfolio to its previous offering. In a first step, this includes services for water and wastewater, maintenance and management of industrial plants, waste recycling and energy efficiency.
