Van Darkholme (born October 24, 1972 in Vietnam ) is an American film director , model , performance artist and actor with Vietnamese roots. He is one of the few Asian men who work as directors and porn actors in the western sex industry. He was also the director of the world's largest BDSM video production company kink.com .

Career

In the 1990s, Darkholme was active as a model and played supporting roles in films such as The Adventurers (as Andy Lau ) and Jackie Chan's Nobody . In 1999 he finally starred in the American porn film Lords of the Lockerroom . Darkholme has since starred in other porn films such as House of Detention and became popular for his practice of BDSM in homosexual pornography. In addition to his physique, his height of 1.83 m, which is rather unusual as a Vietnamese in the western entertainment industry, is emphasized.

In 2008 he was known as a meme under the name "Van-sama" ( proper spelling : VAN-sama or VAN 様 ) in circles of Japanese Gachimuchi fans. In April of that year, a scene with him from the porn film Lords of the Locker Room was transferred to Nico Nico Douga as part of the "Wrestling Series" format. Here a scene from the film was used in which he shouts “fuck you” ( English for fuck you! ) And this became a meme. This meme is also known as "Fercussion" ( フ ァ 楽 器 ; Fagakki ). In later videos he got new pseudonyms like "TDN Kosugi" (TDN コ ス ギ ) / "TDN" and "Vanpire" ( spelling : VANpire ). A music video for the meme had almost two million views on the video hoster Nico Nico Douga; a high number of views for a video on the platform.

From 2009 he got involved with Kiva .

In 2018 he promoted the Chinese mobile game "Mòrì Zhī Chéng" ( 末日 之 城 ; doomsday city ) by Catmint Games and was also playable character.
