Vanoye Aikens

Vanoye William Aikens (also known as Van Aikens , born November 27, 1922 in Georgia - † August 24, 2013 in Los Angeles ) was an American dancer and actor .

Aikens performed as a dancer for the Katherine Dunham Dance Company on many tours in the United States, Europe and South America from the mid-1940s . When the group broke up, he had a brief career as a singer and actor in Italian genre films in 1960/1961. Until the mid-1980s he taught dance at the Danshögskolan as well as in Germany and Spain. Eventually he returned to the USA.
