Vasco Correia Lourenço (* 1942 in Castelo Branco ) is a Portuguese reserve officer who was a member of the Political Commission of the Movimento das Forças Armadas (MFA) during the Carnation Revolution .

In 1960 he entered the Portuguese Military Academy . His branch of service was the infantry, for which he was deployed in Guinea-Bissau in the Portuguese Colonial War from 1969 to 1971 .

On April 25, 1974 he was in the Azores as a capitão . As an active member of the Movimento dos Capitães , he was a member of the political commission of the MFA. From this position he was nominated on July 24, 1974 for the State Council ; later he switched to the informal structure of the Council of Twenty and on March 14, 1975 he became a member of the Revolutionary Council , functions which he held until his resignation in 1982.

With his retirement as tenente-coronel on April 20, 1988, Vasco Lourenço became a reserve officer. Since its inception, he is a member of the Board of Association on April 25 .
