Watutinki ( Russian Вату́тинки ) is a Russian settlement in the Moscow Novomoskowski district . It is located around 30 kilometers southwest of Moscow city center and had 11,081 inhabitants in 2010.
Until its incorporation on July 1, 2012, Watutinki belonged to the Leninsky rajon of Moscow Oblast . The "Cosmic Reconnaissance" directorate of the Russian military intelligence service GRU is located in the village and is responsible for space-based reconnaissance activities.
The headquarters of the German national soccer team during the 2018 soccer world championship was located in Watutinki .
