The VEBEG GmbH (proper spelling VEBEG ) is founded in 1951, state-owned trust company for recovery of property of Federal and other contracting authorities. The name originally stood for collecting society for the crew's own goods. Today, “Vebeg” is a company name without any additional designations or meanings.

The sole shareholder of the company based in Frankfurt am Main is the Federal Republic of Germany , represented by the Federal Ministry of Finance .

In the 2015 financial year, Vebeg achieved fiduciary revenue of 75.1 million euros from the sale of movable goods with 56 employees . Overall, fiduciary sales of over 2.6 billion euros have been generated since the company was founded.

tasks

Vebeg's services include all tasks associated with the profitable recovery of used goods and are based on the Federal Budget Code . Vebeg mainly sells items that have been separated from the Bundeswehr (approx. 51 percent of the fiduciary revenues in 2015). She also works for other public clients, such as B. Federal , state and local authorities, road construction administrations, disaster control and foreign armed forces. Vebeg is active nationwide for a total of around 12,000 offices and is intended to relieve them of non-specialist tasks such as assessment, advertising, dunning and debt collection.

Vebeg sells u. a. Vehicles (around 10,600 pieces in 2010), aircraft, helicopters and ships, clothing, equipment, technical material, raw materials, tires, road service equipment, scrap coins and government gifts.

War weapons are not available.

As a rule, the sale takes place through acceptance of a hidden online bid; Vebeg also operates an auction platform. The material is used individually such as B. vehicles or in larger quantities such. B. Clothing available for purchase. The sale takes place from the storage location of the issuing agency with no warranty. The only exception are private customers in online auctions. Vebeg handles the entire sale for the trustor and ensures that the contract is fulfilled by the buyer and that the statutory provisions, including foreign trade provisions, are observed.

Vebeg's buyers are made up of national and international trading companies and end consumers. Around 25 percent of the goods are exported.
