Veca Airlines (Vuelos Económicos Centroamericanos, SA de CV; also spelling: VECA Airlines) was a Salvadoran low-cost airline .
history
VECA Airlines was founded in 2013 with the help of start-up financing from the mineral oil company Alba Petróleos.
Flight operations began on November 28, 2014 with a charter flight operated by Air Panama from San Salvador to San José ( Costa Rica ) and on to Panama City ( Panama ). The first scheduled flight took place on January 23, 2015 from San Salvador to Guatemala City ( Guatemala ).
In January 2017, Veca Airlines ceased operations after an Airbus A319 was reclaimed from the lessor due to unpaid installments.

As of February 2015, El Salvador served the countries of Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama.
fleet
As of January 2017, prior to the cessation of operations, the VECA Airlines fleet consisted of two Airbus A319-100s .
